The MCA recognised Superyacht certificate courses which are valid worldwide are being conducted by 29 years of experience. These certifications will allow you to work in different positions, including all kinds of motorboats or sailboats, with practical trainings besides the theorical ones, thus it will lead you to a very important turning point and make you jump in your career. These certificates will give you the chance to work on all boats all over the world.
The professional IYT MOY (Master of Yacht) 200 Tons courses are for those who want to work professionally in the “Superyacht” sector. These courses are recognised by the “Maritime and Coastguard Agency” (MCA).
MCA recognised IYT MOY 200 Tons certificates are valid for working on commercial and private yachts (Power or Sail). Those certificates are very important because they are accepted by most of the major yacht flags, and recognized qualifications for commanding a motorboat or sailboat.
There are three types of MOY courses and certifications.
- Master of Yachts Coastal/Mate 200 Tons (Power or sail); To command yachts up to 24 m (80 ft) long and 60 nautical miles from a safe haven, and also to be Mate of yachts that are up to to 200 Gross Tons and 60 nautical miles from a safe haven.
- Master of Yachts Limited (Power or Sail); It is for commanding yachts that are up to 200 Gross Tons and 150 nautical miles from a safe haven. Also to be a 1st Mate or 2nd Mate of yachts up to 500 Gross Tons.
- Master of Yachts 200 Tons Unlimited (Power & Sail); It is for all ocean with no operational restrictions placed upon the distance from a safe haven. Also to be a 1st Mate or 2nd Mate of ocean-going yachts up to 500 Gross Tons.
In addition to the MOY certificate, our training also includes the six days STCW Basic Safety Training 1978/2010 (amend) required by the International Maritime Organization (IMO) which are as below:
- STCW Basic Fire Fighting & Fire Prevention
- STCW Elementary First Aid
- STCW Personal Safety and Social Responsibilities
- STCW Personal Survival Techniques
- STCW Proficiency in Maritime Security Awareness.
